Individual Therapy in Auckland & Online

Psychotherapy for when life feels off-centre

At some point, many of us find ourselves feeling stuck, lost, or out of step with how we want life to feel.

Sometimes there’s a clear struggle — anxiety, low mood, addictive patterns, issues with sex or eating, or persistent self-criticism. Other times it’s harder to name — just a sense that something’s not quite right. You might notice you’re repeating the same patterns in work, relationships, or self-worth, unsure how to shift them.

What People Often Bring to Therapy

  • Anxiety, low mood, or chronic stress

  • Grief, loss, or life transitions

  • Feelings of disconnection or numbness

  • Shame, self-criticism, or low self-worth

  • Difficulties with sex, food, or body image

  • Addictive patterns or compulsive behaviours

  • Unresolved trauma or developmental wounding

  • A desire for more meaning, agency, or authenticity

These experiences can pull us away from our sense of self. And while they often have roots in early life, they continue to shape how we show up — in our bodies, in our relationships, and in our choices.

A Gentle Space to Understand and Shift

Therapy can offer a steady space to begin understanding what’s happening beneath the surface — not just to reduce symptoms, but to unwind the deeper patterns that fuel them.

Our work together might explore how past experiences live on in the present: through sensations, nervous system states, relational dynamics, and beliefs. As we build awareness and capacity, change can emerge naturally — not from effort, but from presence.

My Approach

I work with individuals in Auckland and online, drawing on:

  • Somatic Experiencing and nervous system regulation

  • Attachment-based and developmental models

  • Psychodynamic principles — using the therapeutic relationship itself as a space for insight and healing

  • Existential and person-centred psychotherapy

This means I hold space for what’s happening in the body as much as the mind — working with stuck patterns not only cognitively, but through a felt sense of safety and connection.

The work is collaborative, relational, and slow enough to meet your capacity.

Who This Work Is For

This kind of therapy may support you if:

  • You’ve done talk therapy before, but something deeper still feels unresolved

  • You’re feeling overwhelmed and want to find ground

  • You want to understand how your history lives in your present

  • You’re seeking not just coping tools — but real, embodied change

You don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong to begin. Sometimes therapy starts with curiosity.

Ready to Begin?

If you’d like to talk, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. It’s a chance to ask questions, share a bit about what’s going on, and see if we’d work well together.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, fabulous, talented?’

Actually, who are you not to be?”

— Marianne Williamson

“Until you call the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate”

— Carl Jung
